Unfortunately, many things have come up for us mods lately that leave us rather unavailable for quite a long time. We apologize but since mod support is vanishing and the game is extra new with a small player base, we have come to the decision to close the game. We do this rather reluctantly but we felt this to be the best decision overall. Eitherway, it's been a joy to play with all of you and not only will it be missed but everyone here shall be missed too.

We thank you for your understanding.

Greetings players!

Sadly, have a bad announcement to make. The game is supposed to open in just a few days but we unfortunately only have about six players. In order to keep this from happening, we mods have decided to delay the game opening until February 14th, Valentines Day.

There's been quite a few new games opening up recently so it's a fairly unfortunate time for any game opening. We as mods will work hard to get more people to join the game so we can all look forward to a grand opening next month!

We understand this might cause some problems so we'll be sure to PM/Email everyone a week before the game opens as a reminder in case anyone forgets. In the meantime, we have this post open to anyone, whether they are in the game or not. Feel free to go crazy or link your friends so they can join in.

So we apologize and thank you for bearing with us!

re: posting style
Update the third! We've been getting questions about the posting format in this community, which is understandable, since the majority of games work under the 'network' style. This is not how our game functions. Almost all posts in the main community, [community profile] ageofmythology, are first person action. Given that appearing next to someone is akin to flipping a a lightswitch with the new powers, this is the primary format that characters will interact in. Ergo, it might be a good idea to note where characters are just so others know where their characters will be going, etc.

The exception to this is a sort of telepathic mental-messaging if two gods want to put distance between each other, or are busy with other things. Say post A is an action post, but your character is noted for doing something at that moment, or is just too lazy/unconcerned to bother them with other things. They can respond via mind, and the thread can go that way.

We will not be putting heavy emphasis on the log community especially given this sort of RP scenario, making everything essentially light action logs. However, if you want to do full-on prose, [community profile] sparta is there for your needs. We'll take activity wherever you make it, so don't worry about that.

Questions, comments, concerns, we'd love all feedback.

Representation/Follower addendum:
Hello again! I would just like to clarify some things with the Representation/Followers sections. We've gotten questions regarding the sections and how exactly they should be done! Which is natural, it's something unique to this game, and in addition, since applications are email, players won't be able to go off other apps for an example.

So let's say I was apping (in the interest of going with a general character everyone is iconically aware of) Mario from the Super Mario games. His section would look somewhat like this, according to the guidelines in the application post.

It's-a me! )

Your app section can go even longer than this, for as many ideas as you have. I just hope it helps to have a guideline over how we'll be judging this section of the application on.

Any questions or concerns go here!

THINGS!
Hey babies! This is one of your three moderators, Owl. The other two are the lovely Sin and Caleb! First of all, welcome to the ooc community, and thank you for taking an interest in the game! This is our brainchild and we're excited to see so many people interested in it already!

Feel free to hash out things with us on the FAQ and ask questions, as we're always eager to add more and more to it.

First of all, feel free to abuse tags in this community for fun and profit. Tags like drop, hiatus, plot should all be paid attention to, of course-- but we don't mind if you make your own. Just don't super tagbomb everything, it can get things a little messy!

Secondly, we'll be happy to start with those of you who wish to do sample threads instead of writing a sample post-- the post is located here. Remember that it should amount to five comments from your character, resulting in a short, sweet ten comment thread you can add to your application. The spam community will be used for memes and fanart and whatever you'd like to use it for.

Third, this is why our spam community is named as such. I don't know why Caleb and Sin let me get away with it.

Happy apping!
